Still Northern is built around long-form documentary work — stories made slowly, with care, rooted in people, work, and place.
Alongside the ongoing project work, I take on a small number of commissioned stories each year.
These commissions allow the wider archive to exist, helping fund time spent documenting lives and places across the North that would otherwise go unseen.
Commissioned work is approached in the same way as the project itself:
with listening first, trust built over time, and an emphasis on honesty rather than performance.
This is not fast content-making or brand polish.
It is visual storytelling made collaboratively, with respect for the people involved.
